Brooks is ‘right vote’ for West Morris Regional Board of Education
October 29, 2025
TO THE EDITOR:
We have a New Jersey state and national jewel in Mendham High School. I have heard from private school administrators that our students are getting a private school education at a public school price.
Tom Brooks, our current Mendham Borough representative to the West Morris Regional Board of Education (BOE), is a big part of that equation.
The wrong vote for the Mendham Borough representative on the West Morris Regional BOE can upset that equation to the detriment of all residents.
For those who do not yet have children in the high school, the right vote is important to ensuring the school’s future is as bright tomorrow as it is today. Do not assume the status quo is unchangeable; it can change with new board members.
For those with students currently in the high school, the right vote is important to ensuring their course options, pathways, access to top-notch educators and outstanding extracurriculars. Your children only have four years at the high school; make sure they are good ones.
For those who do not have students in the high school, the right vote is important to ensuring the high school’s current outstanding performance continues to contribute to high home values by attracting young families to Mendham Borough. If the high school falters, home values fall.
I urge your Mendham Borough readers to educate themselves on the candidates vying to represent their community.
They can learn about Tom Brooks, the incumbent, at www.tombrooksforschoolboard.com and through Observer-Tribune articles and editorials.
They can learn about Henry Niemczyk through Observer-Tribune articles and editorials. I have been unable to find other sources.
Once they compare, I believe they will agree that Tom Brooks is the right vote. He has delivered outstanding results, is as cost-conscious about the school’s finances as he is about his campaign expenses and knows that excellence is a journey, not a destination. I also believe they will realize his opponent will spare no expense and has a platform built on work that is already well underway at the high school.
Vote for proven, trusted leadership on Nov. 4. Vote for Tom Brooks. You’ll find his name second on the ballot for West Morris Regional Board of Education.
